The Challenge

Britax needed a way to improve the efficiency of their lighting system across their entire facility, including office, production, and external areas. Their existing lighting system was outdated and used a lot of energy. The office areas had over 300 outdated recessed panels, and their production area used 400W traditional sodium lowbays. Additionally, their external areas used metal halide lamps, which have a short lifespan, long warm-up period, and waste light output.

The Solution

Following a free on-site lighting audit with our knowledgeable consultant Britax partnered with CEMA Lighting Solutions to upgrade their lighting system with a modern energy-efficient LED solution.

Our skilled CEMA Lighting installation team quickly set about removing the outdated recessed panels in the office area replacing them with CEMA Lighting’s 30-Watt Halo panel, resulting in a 68% reduction in energy consumption.
In the production areas the team replaced the inefficient 400 watt sodium lowbays with CEMA Lighting’s 200W High Efficiency Highbay, cutting the running costs in half.

To improve Britax’s external lighting, the old metal halide lamps were replaced with CEMA Lighting’s 200W High-Output Modular Floodlight, improving visibility and safety outside as well as improving CCTV footage quality, while also reducing energy usage.
